With the theme "In Search of the Al-Andalus Spirit", this cultural event will highlight the period of peaceful coexistence among the Abrahamic religions in Andalusia from the 8th to the 15th century, often referred to as a golden age whose influence persists in Morocco, as stated in a statement by the organizers.

This new edition will showcase Spain through a program and performances that celebrate the historical and friendly ties between the Iberian Peninsula and Morocco, aiming for a better future.

Proud of its role as a host city, Fes will once again welcome the world. The festival, set amidst an embellished city and beautifully restored medina, will allow visitors to rediscover prestigious sites, gardens, and iconic locations of a thousand-year-old city, a true spiritual capital of the Kingdom.

The traditional opening creation, "Zyriab and the Fifth String", will take place at Bab Makina on Friday, May 24th. This impressive event will evoke the legendary poet and musician of the Andalusian era, Abou Al-Hassan Ali Ibn Nâfi, better known as "Zyriab", with the participation of artists from different regions.

In keeping with the spirit of Fes, this edition will offer a diverse program, open to cultures and spiritualities from around the world. Among the renowned artists featured at this 27th festival, there will be iconic figures from Sufi music, flamenco, as well as original musical creations.

The festival will conclude on June 1st with the Gospel Philarmonic Experience, featuring the great American diva Kim Burrell, accompanied by the Contemporary Orchestral Ensemble under the direction of Pascal Horecka.

The detailed program of this edition of the Fes Festival of World Sacred Music, as well as ticket sales, are available on the official festival website and the Fes Festival mobile app. #fes #fez #heritage #heritagemoroccotours #festivalmusiquesacrée #Fesfestivalofworldsacredmusic #darattajalli #attajalli #riadinfez #riad #music #morocco
